Peter Hall, Chief Economist, econosphere inc. in conversation with Rick Goossen, ELO President
What a day! The ELO Forum Winnipeg 2025, held on October 22, was nothing short of extraordinary — a powerful gathering of Christian marketplace and entrepreneurial leaders united by purpose, vision, and faith.
The day was filled with connection, conversation, and inspiration. From meaningful networking and shared meals to seven dynamic speaker sessions, the Forum delivered fresh insights, practical wisdom, and encouragement for leaders navigating today’s fast-changing world.
Highlights from the Day
The lineup was as rich as it was diverse.
We began the morning with a LIVE video Q&A with Dr. John Lennox, Professor Emeritus at the University of Oxford, UK—an exclusive session that reminded attendees of the enduring importance of faith, intellect, and courage in leadership.
Peter Hall, CEO of Econosphere Inc. and former Chief Economist at EDC, captivated the audience with his timely presentation, “An Outlook for the Economy and Geopolitics: Ideas for Business Responses to Our Challenging Times.” With clarity and conviction, Peter unpacked the complex global forces shaping our economy — and offered faith-informed strategies for navigating uncertainty with wisdom and confidence.
Later, Jeff Fray, representing Gloo, shared “The Entrepreneurial Adventure of Building the World’s Leading Faith Ecosystem.” His presentation offered a behind-the-scenes look at how innovation, data, and collaboration can accelerate Kingdom impact in the modern age.
The day continued with impactful sessions from Ron Haik and Sunny Lee from Nicola Wealth, Jaime White from Loop Resource, and entrepreneur and media strategist Kyle Thompson. Their talks explored leadership, investing and giving, calling, and purpose from multiple perspectives — each one pointing to the same truth: that faith-driven leaders can and must make a transformative difference in their spheres of influence.
Meaningful Connections and Lasting Impact
Beyond the stage, the Forum was alive with fellowship and conversation — a community of like-minded leaders sharing experiences, challenges, and encouragement. Mealtimes provided rich opportunities for connection, reflection, and relationship-building.
And judging by the feedback, the impact was profound:
“Great lineup this year. I brought a new person who owns a large company, and he was very impressed and indicated he would like to come back next year. We have an amazing opportunity to reach the business community with a forum like this. Keep it up!”
“Fantastic group of speakers. So glad to be with other Christian business leaders and see we are all dealing with many of the same issues.”
